CX-30 OBD Tracker: privacy notice
Last updated: 30 October 2026
CX-30 OBD Tracker (Android package org.emevidence.obdtracker) reads data from your car through a Bluetooth OBD-II adapter, shows it on your phone and on Android Auto, and keeps a log of your trips. It has no advertising, analytics or crash reporting. This notice covers the app only; the website has its own privacy notice.
What the app stores
- Readings from your car (for example speed, engine speed, temperatures and fuel figures), trip logs and fault codes.
- Your car's vehicle identification number (VIN), if the car reports it.
- The name and Bluetooth address of the adapter you pair with.
- Your location, only if you turn on GPS recording in the app's settings. It is added to your trip log so you can see where a reading was taken.
- Your settings.
All of this is stored only on your phone, inside the app.
What the app sends
Nothing. The app does not have internet access, has no account or sign-in, and contains no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting services. No data is sent to us or to anyone else.
Data leaves your phone only if you choose to export or share it (for example a trip as a CSV file, or a diagnostics file), and then only to the place you pick.
Android Auto
When you use the app in your car, the readings are shown on the car's screen through Android Auto on your phone. The app does not send them anywhere else.
Device backups
If you have Android's own backup switched on, Android may include the app's stored data in your device backup to your Google account. That backup is controlled by you and Google, not by the app.
Deleting your data
You can delete single trips or all trips in the app. Uninstalling the app deletes everything it has stored.
Children
The app is intended for adult drivers and is not directed at children.
